Number Theory · IOQM
What ViJEEta actually holds for this chapter, counted from the live bank — and what it has not measured, marked as not measured.
How many marks is Number Theory in IOQM?
We haven't measured it, so we print "—". On the JEE side every chapter weight is read from a per-subject weightage file that ships with the JEE bank — each chapter carrying a weight together with the question count and frequency it was derived from — and resolved onto the curriculum tree. No such file exists for IOQM. A weightage number is only worth what its denominator is worth — how many papers, how many questions, tagged by what rule — and that pass has not been run on the IOQM bank. When it has, the file will ship with all three, and until then this box stays empty on purpose.
What is real for this chapter
340 gradeable IOQM questions, of which 86 carry a measured difficulty (an IRT b from the intake calibration), which is what lets a test adapt to you instead of shuffling questions. 82 of them come from the anchor pool — the human-written source content that fills tests and papers before anything else is reached. Those counts are read out of the bank every time this page is rebuilt, so they cannot drift from the product.
What does "mastered" mean here — honestly?
The evidence rules belong to the engine, not the exam, so they are the same ones the JEE side has always used: Number Theory shows "—" until you've answered at least 3 questions in it, and after that mastery is a guessing-corrected IRT true score at a conservative ability estimate over the chapter's real item difficulties. Reading theory caps evidence at 0.60, unproctored practice at 0.75; "mastered" (≥0.80) is reachable only through tests.
The one thing that does not exist yet for IOQM is the headline readiness score. The JEE /300 is a weighted sum — Σ chapter_weight × mastery — so it cannot be computed without the chapter weights this page has just told you we have not measured. IOQM carries the real paper's scale of 100, and per-chapter mastery is measured today; the single IOQM number on top of it arrives when the weights underneath it do. Showing a band now would be fabricating one.
Topics inside this chapter
These come from the bank's own topic tags, counted from the questions themselves — not from an editor's chapter plan.
