Progress — the readiness /300

Why your number is a measurement, not a motivational lie.

The headline number is readiness out of 300, computed only from demonstrated evidence over the chapters you've covered:

Chapter weights are measured from tagged previous-year papers. Mastery is a guessing-corrected IRT true score at a conservative ability estimate (θ − z·SE over the chapter's real item difficulties): a blind 25% guess earns zero. Below 3 answered questions a chapter reports "—", never a fabricated number — measured on our engine, one wrong answer would otherwise read as 23% "mastery", which is 80% statistical prior dressed as a score.

Velocity = Δreadiness ÷ days × 7, Monday-anchored — real marks per week against the target rate your goal and exam date require. The percentile shown is computed from the full-syllabus projection, never from readiness: a perfect Class-11 is 300/300 on their own syllabus but ~151/300 if the exam were today, and confusing the two is how apps tell new users they're AIR 1.
